This document describes the policies and procedures regarding the collection, use, handling and disclosure of your data when you visit and use the rollforcupcakes.com website.
The website owner uses your data to provide and improve the experience on the site. By visiting the site, you agree to collection and use of information in accordance with this privacy policy.

Roll for cupcakes is a personal blog run by Lee Lee Dee.

What personal data do we collect and why do we collect it?
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data that is entered into the comments form. This included the entered name, email address and comment
The commenters IP address and browser user agent string is also collected to help with spam detection and prevention.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it.
The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.
If you use gravatar, once your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included.
Visitors to any website can download and extract any location data from images on the website, so removing any embedded data in your images before uploading is recommended.
Contact form content
When you use a contact form or sign up form on our website, you are required to check the ‘I have read and understood the Roll For Cupcakes Privacy Policy’ box.
This document is the privacy policy that those check boxes refers to.
When you submit your email and name in a contact form or sign-up form on the our website, you give express permission for Roll For Cupcakes to use the data you have submitted for the purposes of contact or for the purpose of email marketing and for receiving Roll For Cupcakes email newsletters.
You can at any time revoke these permissions by either contacting lee@rollforcupcakes.com and asking for your data to be erased, or – in the case of receiving newsletters – utilising the ‘unsubscribe’ link in any newsletter received.
Roll for cupcakes does not sell any personal data collected from these forms to any third parties.
IP addresses
An IP address a unique string of characters that identifies each computer using the Internet Protocol to communicate over a network.
Your IP address is not anonymised on our site, and can be used to provide us with your general location, for example, your country and city/town name.
W collect IP addresses to help us with both spam prevention – our system checks IP addresses against those of known perpetrators of comment and contact form spam – and to secure our site against known perpetrators of hacking and malicious online activity.
Your IP address is never shared with any 3rd parties and you can request that we delete it from our records by sending an email to lee@rollforcupcakes.com that specifies the IP address you would like purged from our system.
Cookies
When you first visit our site, or when you return after an absence, you will see a pop-up window informing you of our use of cookies on the website.
These cookies are used in the following ways:
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment.
These cookies will last for one year (12 months).
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
We utilise Matomo Analytics on Premise to help us analyse the way our website is used for the purposes of marketing and improving user experience, and the data is not shared with any 3rd parties.

Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.).
Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account with them and are logged in to that website
For example if you have a google account, and you watch an embedded YouTube video here on Roll For Cupcakes, google can collected data about your viewing on that video.
Roll For Cupcakes does not take responsibility for any data collected by external providers via content embedded on the site.
Analytics
What we use and who we share your data with
We utilise Matomo Analytics to review the use of our site.
The data viewed through Matomo is anonymised, and stored on our servers alone.
The data does not contain personal information, such as names, email addresses, or physical addresses.
The data does contain IP addresses, which can be used to pinpoint a general location of the user, for example, your state and city/town name.
Our data is never shared to any 3rd parties.
How long we retain your data
We store our analytics data for 36 months.
In the cases of most cookie data stored on our site, we store that information for 12 months.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retain ed indefinitely.
This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile.
All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username).
Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.
You can also request that we erase any data we hold that can identify you.
This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data
We do not send or share your personalised data to any third parties outside of services we use to communicate with you.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Your contact information
Contact information, in the form of a name and email address submitted on the website, is never shared with third parties
How we protect your data
We utilise an SSL and security software to ensure safe encryption of any data sent via our website.
Administrator accounts where our data is stored are required by us to be protected by 2FA (2 factor authentication) functionality.
We require, through any data processor agreements, that any connected services we utilise maintain the same level of security.
What data breach procedures we have in place
In the case of a data breach you will be informed within 72 hours of us being made aware of such a breach.
